Just a short one: I'm still re-adjusting to life post-Vegas, work is still kicking my ass, footy is on (brief) hiatus, and I haven't played much poker. I've been donking around a bit online playing Triple Draw, but I don't seem to be in the right head space for online action these days.
And though I hate to say it... I'm really starting to think that I prefer playing live as opposed to online. Is this a problem with me, or the format? Probably more with me, but hey, that's something I'm willing to deal with at the moment. My online roll is a bit thin, though the overall roll (even post-WSOP) is in decent shape, and I'm not feeling the urge to move funds online either. I'm considering restricting myself to "fun" donkaments online, like the Daily Double, for the short term while I figure out what I want to do. Not to mention that I have been choosing "real life" over the virtual felt more often these days anyway.
But enough of content-free navel gazing... as everyone knows the WSOP ME final table is tonight! I currently have two guys I'd like to go deep(er), and who appear at first glance to be diametrically opposed: on one hand we have Lee Watkinson (quiet consummate pro with a penchant for saving chimpanzees), and Hevad "Rain" Khan (ex-Starcraft insano multi-tabling-SNG-maniac). I certainly hope Lee goes deep, as he seems like a stand-up guy, while my pro-RaiNKhaN stance is more of an appreciation for his goofy act in his famous "
multi-tabling SnGs" video. Of course if he ends up jumping up and down and screaming the whole damn time I may swing to the anti-RaiNKhaN camp hastily... but I have to think that the longer he is there the more the potential for fun times.
Am I going to order the thing on Pay Per View? I'm not going to go that far, but who knows what might happen after I have footy training and a few beers...
